Abundant Alternatives, LLC was founded based off the need of the healthcare industry. Experiences in the healthcare industry have shown evidence that a company such as Abundant Alternatives, LLC is needed.
The goal is to assist long term care facilities and healthcare agencies with quality improvement projects and educating staff as needed. We will also expand into assisting with risk management projects. Our consulting services provide a wide range of options.
Abundant Alternatives HealthCare Staffing, an affiliate of Abundant Alternatives, LLC, offers services to healthcare agencies and facilities to assist with staffing needs. Our goal is to offer flexible schedules to healthcare professionals that are not able to commit to a set schedule while ensuring the patients and residents needs are met.
The common factor is to ensure that we are available to assist as much as we can to ensure individuals receive quality of care and healthcare professionals are aware of the evolving changes in the healthcare industry.
April Hampton-Brown
From an early age, April Hampton-Brown knew she was called to care for others. At just fifteen, she balanced two summer jobs—one at McDonald’s, where she was quickly promoted to junior supervisor, and another with her school’s Random Acts of Kindness program, where she first stepped into a leadership role.
By eighteen, she was working in an assisted living facility and later supporting individuals with developmental disabilities—laying the foundation for her lifelong career in healthcare.
April began her clinical journey by completing the Certified Nursing Assistant program, then earned her Diploma in Nursing. She worked for several years as a Licensed Practical Nurse, specializing in long-term care and rehabilitation.
Driven to grow further, she returned to school and earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Gardner-Webb University, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Carolina University. Today, she is dually licensed as a South Carolina Nursing Home Administrator and Community Residential Care Facility Administrator and is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant.
Rising through the ranks of the long-term care industry, April has held roles ranging from Director of Nursing to Senior Clinical and Operations Director before becoming the Founder and CEO of Abundant Alternatives, LLC—a multifaceted healthcare organization providing consulting, home care services, staffing, CPR training, drug testing, and medical scrub sales.
Her expertise includes quality assurance, performance improvement, compliance, and clinical leadership. She has also participated in statewide initiatives such as South Carolina’s Improving Dementia Care and Eliminating Off-Label Antipsychotics Project, underscoring her dedication to advancing best practices in patient care.
Beyond her professional endeavors, April is a licensed Minister of the Gospel and a devoted member of Harvest House Baptist Church. She serves as Board Chair for Foothills Harvest Transitional Services, Inc., and as a board member for Blue Ridge Community Action, Inc. Actively engaged in the community, she assists in organizing food drives and neighborhood initiatives throughout Rutherford County, North Carolina.
A proud North Carolina native, April is a devoted wife to her husband DeJohnta, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother. She cherishes family and faith above all and strives for excellence in Jesus’ name in every role she undertakes.
One of April’s most recent accomplishments is earning her Master of Arts in Christian Leadership from Shaw University.
“I have a heart for the people, and I truly believe nursing is my God-gifted ministry.”
